I love this view of the Arch. I know that the arch is the same height as the width at the bottom (630 ft I think), altho it looks taller than it is wide. I also know that no one was killed during the building of the Arch.
I have not seen the Arch from this street before....very cool photo!
I did take the elevator to the top of the Arch during the 80's. I am glad I had that experience but NEVER AGAIN!!!! Hope they have updated those elevators! But the view from the top is AWESOME!
my parents grew up in st louis, so the arch to me IS st louis-i lived there a bit as a very young child-visit when i can as we still have family there-AND have been up in the arch more than once~ great photo!
I love St.Louis, was born there and still have relatives there, but was raised in Arkansas. The Arch is beautiful from all angles, but one time up in it was quite enough. Too tight in those little car/elevators.
