....my first installment for
self portrait tuesday .
for some reason this concept
fascinates me,and others apparently.
it is sort of like being given permission
to focus on some aspect of yourself for
a minute...right now i am being shallow
and focusing on my $10 pink slippers,i
found these on st.armand's circle,on
vacation this summer....anyway,i
thought this was an apropo shot for
getting my feet wet with this thing! : )

taking stock..

...here i sit in my studio feeling very grateful for
this great space and all of the fun things i have
collected over the years,either to use in my art
or just simply to gaze upon for inspiration!
all of these ledges & crannies of things are very
dear to me,yes,but these "things" could all be
gone in a heartbeat,how?who knows,so i will enjoy
them while they're here and miss them when they're
gone and focus on what is really important today
...loving thy neighbor...amen! sometimes you just
have to take stock : )

i love this "titmouse" card! i just
found it again while perusing my
scrap file,such as it is.
i thought i had lost it forever in an
organizing frenzy a few months ago....
thank the prized scrap god above!

i got home tonight from visiting with my mom
in law,it was a soothing visit,just her & i. she came
home from the hospital today after being admitted
monday with a staph infection,it has really washed
her out,but she is ,as always, making the best of it...
i could learn a thing or two from her grace and calm.
anyway,i came home to a working INTERNET! so i
have nothing of any real substance to gripe about at
the moment! i was beginning to imagine life without
all this technology....nah! good to be back,i have alot
of catching up to do...this is all for tonight :) sleep tight!

lack of communication

sheeeesh,it has been wayyy to long
since i have been able to post and my
frustration with my dependence on
this *form of communication grows,
{*this form being computers...period.}
it has been 3 weeks now since i have
been able to sit in front of my own
computer at home and check my e-mail,
post to my blog or just mindlessly surf
the vast net. in one sense it is good to be
weened from this nessesary evil,but on
the other hand i am a humongous information
junkie and need a fix...is that so wrong?!
anyway,it looks like there will still be a few
more hoops to jump through before i can post
an image,glean inspiration in the wee hours or
just do that mindless surfin' thing on my beloved
computer at home...until then i am getting chummy
with all the librarians at my local library...
please don't give up on me yet...........
