my paternal grandma as a young woman,
she truly was as sweet as she appears,i missed
her today so i thought i would post this collage that
i made with her image and a variety of transparencies
{a couple of months ago}....i sent this piece to somerset
for consideration for their upcoming "transparent art"
book due out in october,several of my other things will
be featured,however i am not sure about this one....it
will be fun to see if they wound up using it!

this thing is taking over the front porch! i love this plant,
its audacious colors are mesmerizing,
the sheer size of this bad boy stuns & amazes me....
great low maintenance beauty!

is my book from the "rage the page" true colors rr
that was recently returned to me after being
away since 2003...it was well worth the wait,
each of the artists involved, amazed & delighted
me with their perspectives..many thanks to all!

happy,mindless information

exit art...my verrry most favorite shop/gallery
ever, this place started out as one little shop
on longboat key in florida quite a few years ago,
each time we visit the island,i must pop in to say hi
and to see what's new...wellllll,this time what is new
is a wayyyy fabulous line of shoes and this dreamy
tote by a company called ICON. and what was once
one little shop is now 3 not so little at all shops! i will
dream only of the tote and the robin palanker clogs,
but i did try on ( & buy) a simple silver hilary druxman
necklace & bracelet to go with a pair of her hoop earrings
i bought in chicago last year.
hannah would love to furnish the loft she buys one day
with all furnishings from the exit art shop.....we were
in full flight from reality that day! happy,mindless!

jen's home "book" is sooo fabulous,it is
a box filled with unbound pages
just waiting to be created on. i
follow jill,celine & sarah and had their
terrific pages for inspiration,what a lucky
girl i am!
my background is adirondack's color wash
in butterscotch,eggplant and stream, using
sarah's groooovy technique of spraying
over lace and a doilie.
edgar guest is a favorite poet o mine,so
i picked one of his quotes to use with the
not so gently used image of the home!
it felt good to art again....

tonight 8pm @ the orpheum

..soon after we bought tickets
for this show,it was announced
that this guy was coming to town,
how could this happen?!
both of these guys and their bands
put on GREAT shows,giving it their
sweaty all....ah,well,we've got tonight
chris......see you next time bruce~

a visit with sarah

...delightful! after a couple of months
of simple planning and plotting,sarah &
i met up at her hotel room,where i got
to also meet the beautiful seppy and her
2 amazing little guys. we traded goodies
and giggles and i thoroughly lost myself
looking through sarah's sublime red book
from true colors fame and the special
scrapbook of artwork not published in
the book.....this could be a volumn in and
of itself....simply exquisite!
then we headed off for sarah's
demo...way cooool techniques for cab cards
& calling cards with stencils and magic! this
was well attended,some folks came from
miles around,others ditched work for the
noon middle of the week event and we were
all dazzled by sweet sarah's generosity,
expertise and wicked sense of humor!
we got a teeny bit of shopping in,before
meeting back up with seppy,dante & sebastion
at the magic house,then shared late lunch at
a new japanese grill nearby.
many warm thanks to you sarah,my friend,for
sharing you with me!
